Module 1

This two day training workshop is for people who work with children and would like to learn more  or who have little or no experience in working with children.

Working with children is very different to working with adults, requiring a different knowledge set and different skills.

 In this workshop we will be exploring

• The core understandings of working therapeutically with children.

• Gaining hands on experience and skills in using expressive therapies, sandtray, symbol, clay, drawing, music.

• Working with parents/ care givers. Navigating the complexity of supporting parents and having the child as your primary client.

• Initial Intake and case conceptualisation.

• Using play based therapies for children between 3-12 years.

You will come away with a  work book , new knowledge and hands on experience.

Location: TBA Fremantle and or surrounding suburbs

Dates:  Consecutive Sundays late June -Early July
