Empowerment  Space available for all needs and accessibilites  Scholarships Available for TCTSY     Offerings..............2019    Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) A 5 week Course   Developed at the Trauma Centre on Boston. TCTSY is an evidence based program for complex trauma or chronic treatment resistant post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). With foundations based in Hatha Yoga, Trauma Theory, Attachment Theory and Neuroscience.  TCTSY is a safe way to process traumatic memory without words through the use of physical forms and movements of the body and breath. There are no physical hands on or assists, rather the participant is given opportunities to make choices that are based on the felt sense of their own body.  No yoga experience is needed, this program is available for all regardless of gender, identity, race, ethnicity, body type and physical ability.  As an adjunct therapy you will need to be in some form of therapy or have a therapist you can engage with as needed.   Bookings only Saturday 4-5pm 5 week course    Concession $80, Early Bird $90 (closes 20th October) and Full $105.      Pay By Donation Slow Flow Mondays   Every 3rd Monday of the month come along to a slow flow vinyasa class. Linking breath to movement. Trauma informed, suitable for all levels.   22nd July, 19th August, 16th September, 21st October 5:30- 6:30pm    Bookings essential      Deep Rest and Restoration, First Sunday of each Month  spend 1.15 hours Sunday afternoon, connecting with yourself through the deeply relaxing poses of restorative yoga. You will be taken through a series of postures, while being supported with bolsters, blankets and blocks.....A time to unwind, let go, breathe, listen to the healing sounds of music and just be.  Sunday November 24th 4:15-5:30pm      Self Care, the Importance of Giving Back to the Self.  A 3 week course to combat burnout, fatigue, exhaustion (emotional and physical)and numbing. Experience the relief and importance of self care. Each week you will be lead through visualisations, pranayama, yoga nidra and restorative yoga.   Befriending your Body a Workshop for Depression    Workshop  A 2 hour workshop, combining therapeutic and yoga processes specifically helpful for your depression journey.     Befriending your Body a workshop for Anxiety    Workshop  A 2 hour workshop, combining therapeutic and yoga processes specifically helpful for calming the body system that is aroused when you have anxiety. Medicare Rebates are available for all group processes through your GP under the Better Access to Health, Group work 6 sessions Medicare Scheme, Body awareness relaxation and Mindfulness. A referral letter from you GP is sufficient.
